Emma is One
How absolutely fitting that the last ever shoot in my studio was with this cherub and her beautiful family. If you've been around here for awhile you will probably recognise this family, as I've been photographing them since their first maternity shoot, coming up seven years ago! I've had the immense pleasure of capturing maternity, newborn and one year old portraits for each of their three children, as well as a few family sessions in between. They have trusted me time and time again, and I don't think they will ever know how much that means to me.
For those who don't know, I unofficially shut the studio doors last year and returned to in home sessions, but made the exception for return clients, offering the studio again to keep their shoots similar to past ones. But with our house finally renovated it went on the market at the end of the year and we were lucky enough to have it sell very quickly. So now it's official, no more studio shoots. Over the space of six years, hundreds of babies and families were welcomed into my cosy space, and it would be a lie if I said I wasn't going to miss it. I'm grateful for the light it gave me and the photographs it helped me to create. There's no plans to have a studio space at our new house, so this is it.
Emma and her family were the last ones I welcomed into my studio, and funnily enough they were also one of the first, all of those years ago (I really am way too sentimental-hence the reason photography is my career!). Just look at this gorgeous girl, she was one of the most stunning newborns I've seen, and nothing has changed, she reminds me of a little doll!
Thank you H family, what a wonderful way to finish off this chapter in the Vanessa Grace Photography book XxX
